Austin, Grace & Rowan - an alaska family session

I recently had the opportunity to do a family story session with Grace and Austin to capture a little slice of  life with their new baby Rowan.  What an amazing family!  I love these friends of ours and was excited anticipating Rowan's arrival with them.  Grace did maternity pictures for us and we agreed for me to do a family session with them once the baby arrived.  Well here they are, and I love how the session turned out.   

With my sessions starting in 2015, i'm moving toward story sessions, which is my name for a lifestyle type of photo shoot that shows more of a story of a bit of real life.  I believe that as a photographer, the images that come out of those type of less posed sessions really are the ones that mean the most and have the greatest emotion.

Congratulations to Austin and Grace.  What a wonderful start to your family.  We're so excited for you and I can't wait to see you all grow together.
